Where it Began

In August of 2021, I decided to dedicate a year to thanking people who had impacted my life. After a few weeks, I’ve realized what a monumental task this is. Think about all the different groups of one’s life. You have your family, friends, work friends, teachers and neighbors. Then you have different times in your life, when all those same groups have different people. How do I choose? Not one is more important than the other. I’ve also realized this is not what I intended my blog to be about. Therefore, I’m changing direction. Nothing I say would convey how lucky I am to have had the people in my life that I have had. All of you, have helped me get to where I am and for that I am forever grateful.

I am going to get back to what this blog was originally intended to do. Educate and interest you in all aspects of owning a company. I want to give you the courage to start one if you want or just ideas on running what you have. People that I have used for resources, tips I have found along the way - I hope I can help you find some of your answers here.

I’m not sure if I ever went into detail on “my company” in regard to the “woman behind the company”. It is a professional services consulting company. We provide technology solutions to businesses with a problem. The harder the better. Messy? That’s the best! I think we have the best talent in Columbus. To give you an idea of where we are after one year; we are going to end the year at double our expected revenue. I am very proud of where we are. How we did it, the challenges we had and still have, are the things I want to share with you.

We fail fast, constantly iterate and are always looking to provide value. These are things I learned years ago and still do in my company today. There are other tools that can be useful should you choose them. Those we will be looking at individually. I hope you will stay tuned.
