The Women of augustwenty: Sarah Priest

Last but certainly not least of my spotlights of the wonderful women at augustwenty, I want to introduce you to this fabulous young woman: Sarah Priest. When Sarah comes to mind - I think of the glue that holds everything together. She came to augustwenty on a part-time basis to help with our marketing—specifically social media. However, not long into her time with augustwenty, we all realized that she could really help us in so many other aspects of our company—setting up systems to keep us better organized, helping with onboarding new employees, sitting in client meetings, organizing events, and keeping DJ organized (which within itself is a full-time job). We had worked with Sarah at a previous company and when the opportunity came about Sarah’s response was: “I knew DJ and Angela and trusted them to want nothing but the best for everyone involved in augustwenty...I knew it would be an environment where I would thrive.”

It is not surprising to me that Sarah has blossomed into a strong confident young woman. She comes from a family full of amazing women who have been inspiring and impacting her entire life. Sarah was taught growing up that she could do anything she wanted to do and be anyone she wanted to be. Her mother and grandmother blazed the trail ahead of her, setting the example. As a female CEO, I humbly have the desire to also set an example of being a strong woman in a leadership position, and someone she can trust.

Being a start-up organization, everyone’s voice is heard and relationships matter. Sarah has invested from the beginning to build genuine relationships within the company, learn every day, pivot when needed, and as a result has built her confidence to have her voice heard. We are so thankful to have her on the team!

To wrap up with a fun fact about Sarah, she loves all music and two of her favorite things to do are to go to concerts and music festivals.
