“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
This week I’d like to kick off the next amazing augustwenty woman in our spotlight series—Meri Kullberg. Meri just joined augustwenty about a month ago, and as she puts it “time flies when you’re having fun!” Meri brings tons of enthusiasm with her passion to “pay it forward and give back”—two of Meri’s purpose driven life philosophies. She thrives in an environment where she can work collaboratively with others and help clients, employees, and candidates achieve all that they dream. As Meri’s role continues to evolve within our startup organization, she has inserted herself into a position of discovering where she can make the most impact.
Humbly I share with you Meri’s enthusiasm of working for a female CEO—as she puts it, “it’s inspiring.” The reality is Meri sees clearly my vision of our company— to make everyone feel a part of building something special; to be flexible and family oriented; and to really emphasize a life-work balance.
As with all my other spotlights, I am curious to know who the females are in their lives who have been inspiring. Meri’s breadth of experience has surrounded her with too many to name, and includes all of the amazing women at augustwenty. As Meri states, the common thread of these inspiring women is characterized by a whole list of attributes—which I 100% agree with: good listener, good communicator, compassionate, respected, kind, servant leader, innovative…and the list goes on! She is super passionate about looking for ways to uplift women, create space for them, and allow their voices to be heard—of which I believe is just one of her gifts!
For anyone who knows Meri, she is charged with digging-in and working diligently to solve problems and deliver what is needed most in any situation. But what many wouldn’t know about Meri that I think is fun to share is that she has “never ridden a roller coaster…except the figurative roller coaster of life,” which we all continuously ride! I am hopeful that together we can make the ride a bit more enjoyable for all!
