Do You Want to be Your Own Boss?

I pondered that question so many times I can’t even count them. The chance to own a business, work for myself and realize the rewards always seemed desirable yet unattainable. However, when I lost my job through an acquisition, it seemed my option was clear. Destiny had plans for me owning my own business whether I wanted to or not. But, where do I begin and how do I get started? Finding the courage to believe in myself would be key to my success. After all, if I don’t believe in myself how can I expect my employees, vendors, and customers to believe in me.
Because I realized the key to courage in starting anything is believing in myself, I want to expand on that over the course of the next several blog/vlog posts - a series featuring other success stories. My “why” behind TWBTC in the beginning was to make it a platform to come to for business and personal growth—to share what I have experienced and learned in the process with hopes that it will help others learn and grow. I want to feature some dynamic self starters to share with you their incredible success stories, as well as, some specific “to do’s” if you too are thinking of starting a business. In the end, I am hoping to inspire you to follow your passion, whatever that is, and reach for the stars.
My first story will feature a close friend of mine whom I admire. She is a vibrant woman who, at a young age, decided what she wanted to do and went for it. I don’t want to give too much information away until her feature, but I will tell you, her story amazes me every day as I see how she has changed and adapted to an evolving industry. I hope you will find her story as inspiring as I do.
This feature is anticipated to post at the end of May. But until then, I challenge you to ask yourself these questions: What do you get wrapped up in that makes you so excited to get up every day? What makes you easily lose track of time because it is enjoyable and meaningful? What do you do that makes you feel like you are making a difference? Maybe that is your passion.
Please share with me what is important to you!
